2018 Omaggio al Brunello
Ommagio al Brunello is our personal tribute to the elegant Brunellos of Montalcino, Italy. Ommagio, meaning "tribute to" represents the small parcel of a certain clone of the popular Italian varietal, Sangiovese. Our Chandler Reach estate planted an esteemed 0.7 acre parcel of Sangiovese Piccolo on the western side of our vineyard, nearest our villa. Per traditional Brunello requirements, this wine is aged on oak for 3 years, followed by two years bottle aging before release.
From this near acre, we produce a limited release of our Ommagio al Brunello each year and make it available to our wine club members.

A gorgeous Sangiovese Piccolo expression with elegant weight and intensity. Bright red in color, and a nose that will greet you with fresh cherries and floral aromas. On the palate there is anise and cola, with bright acidity and clean elegant tannins.
